Windows 7: Introduction


Windows 7 is the latest member of the family of Microsoft Windows. It has officially launched worldwide on October 2009. Windows 7 was earlier known as Vienna and Blackcomb. Within a very short period of time this operating system has become quite popular among the PC users all over the world.

Windows 7 is much more advanced yet user friendly than its predecessors, specially Windows Vista. It is full of exciting features and is said to be compatible with all the application that were supported by Windows Vista. It has some features like multi touch support, new task bar and Home Group which is basically a home networking system. Beside these some old features such as Windows photo gallery, calendar and moviemaker, which were also there in the older editions of Windows, are there in this operating system.

Though there are six different versions of Windows 7, in most places Ultimate, professional and Home Premium are mostly available. Each and every version is included with all the capabilities and features of the version lesser than it.

All the features of different versions will be stored on the computer of the users despite of the edition that is in used so that whenever an user want to upgrade to a higher edition he/she just has to download the upgrade and utilize the features that you have downloaded earlier.
