Norton Antivirus scans data in Microsoft Office and searches for macro virus infection. But this method may arise lots of problems. But these problems have solutions too. You can deactivate the Turn on scanning options for Microsoft Office Documents. Following a few steps may help you to execute the steps. You should also know that this step may help your computer open to virus and malware attacks. This process should not be executed unless it is urgently required.   • You have to go to the Taskbar. Right click on the Norton icon and then on the Norton Protection Center
  • Depending on the version of Norton Antivirus you have to click on Norton Internet Security or Norton Antivirus
  • Click on Settings
  • You have to click Virus and Spyware Protection Options under Additional Options
  • Click on Miscellaneous
  • Under How to Microsoft Office documents protected you need to click to clean the Turn on scanning for Microsoft Office Documents check box
