If you have Norton Antivirus 2009 installed you can deactivate the Turn on scanning option for Microsoft Office Document. To execute this process you have to follow a few steps. But you should be aware that this process can make your computer more susceptible to the virus and malware attacks. Though the process is not recommended for applying but the information can be given to implement if necessary. But implementing this process will be a t your own risk.
1. Go to the Taskbar. Right click on the Norton and then click on Settings
2. Under computer scans, click on the icon that is next to the Microsoft Office Automatic Scan to toggling the setting between ON and Off setting
3. Click OK
If you cannot find Norton on the taskbar you need to follow the steps mentioned below:
1. You need to click on the Start Menu button and select All Programs on the Start Menu
2. Select Norton Antivirus
3. You can select Norton Antivirus from the list of Norton Antivirus shortcuts
4. Click on settings
5. Under computer scans, click on the icon that is next to the Microsoft Office Automatic Scan to toggling the setting between ON and Off setting
6. Click OK
