Email has almost changes the face of communication. Now we can communicate with our near and dear ones placed at the different corners of the world whenever we want. Email which was invented in 1970’s by some university researchers and professors has become an essential for business as well as individuals.
Unfortunately, a number of email problems can be found when it is used as the method of business communication.
Email is not secure – Sending any type of confidential, personal documents, be it individual or business via email are not secure. The system administrator, if wants, can easily check and reveal your personal documents.
It is too open – Every day our mailboxes become over flooded with lots of junk mails. This problem cannot be solved in spite of designing the email filters in the best possible way.
Email can be harmful – An email does not carry a seal of authenticity from the sender. Therefore, there is a high chance of getting virus infection through this infection. For example, in Microsoft Outlook a simple click on an email can invite virus infection in your computer.
Mail delivery is not guaranteed – There is no guarantee in delivery of an email. Like postal mail you cannot expect guaranteed delivery of your mail.
Email is not real time – Active conversation sometime gets delayed in email. That is why instant messaging solution in spite of having lots of security loopholes has become the most preferred choice for many computer users.
Email does not have omnipresent access – Many users find it difficult to access email from every places such as while they are at home or on the road. This is the main reason that works behind the popularity of web-based email recently.
