Memory – Printers usually have a very small amount of memory. Printer memory can be expanded by the users. A printer which has large memory can produce pages with large images quickly.


Resolution – Resolution of a printer is normally measured by the dots/pinch. The most ordinary printer usually offers sufficient resolution at 600 dpi.

However the quality and performance of the printers are improving day by day. The number of jobs such as Desk Top Publishing (DTP) which was earlier done by the professional print and publication houses are now performed by the local printers or users themselves at a very cheap rate.
