
Its New Year time once again. As always this year too, Google have compiled a top ten list of popular search items on its hugely popular Internet search engine. The Zeitgeist, as it is widely known in the cyber world, is a compilation of the top search items that flooded the Internet domain in the previous year.
Let us now look at the top Google searches of 2009.The whole Internet fraternity all across the world searched for these items frequently to make these search items enter the top ten list of the Google this year-end.
To top the list at number one is the phenomenal social networking website called “Twitter”. Previously, Facebook and My Space were the only noteworthy social networking domains on the Internet to feature regularly on Google’s top ten. However, this year, it is Twitter all the way. In fact, it developed as a new culture altogether called “tweeting”.
The Moon-walker is no more but he still tops the chart of most popular Internet searches in 2009. Michael Jackson still rules the roost. After his sad demise in late June this year, the Internet is flooded with queries on the late King of Pop. His premature death catapulted him to feature in the top ten list of Google this year-end.
The other eight top search names in Google’s year-end Internet review includes -Facebook , Hulu, Glee , Hi5, Paranormal Phenomena, Natasha Richardson , Farrah Fawcett, and Lady Gaga respectively.
